Ever Wish You Had Markers That Did Not Dry Out?

Ever wish you had markers

My daughter loves to draw with markers

My daughter sat down last night to draw and color. This was a night just like any other in our home. My daughter sits on her bed at night and sketches and draws. But the difference is that last night she used the Magic Stix Washable Markers from The Pencil Grip, Inc that came in the mail yesterday for us to review. These markers are guaranteed to not dry out if the cap is left off, for seven days! The great people at The Pencil Grip gave us the opportunity to try out these new markers, and boy are they great!

There was one point my daughter noticed that she wanted you all to know about these markers: the colors do not blend. That makes it good for younger children who are learning to color, but not as useful for older children and teens who want to do more sophisticated art. That said, this is a great product for little ones!

karpThese markers are guaranteed to NOT dry out, even with the caps off for seven days!

We didn’t get the chance to see if the markers stand up to the seven day challenge, but I believe it. My friend Karen @ Tots and Me… had the time to try it out – you can hop over to read her post and see if the pens lasted a week!

We have more markers than I can count when the caps are left off and they dry out

I cannot tell you how many times over the years I have sorted through bins of markers in our homeschool, testing marker after marker. Every time I do it, I find that about a third of the markers are dried out. Most of the time, our markers get dried out when my kids lose a cap in the shuffle, or don’t snap the cap all the way back on the marker.

I love watching my kids draw and color, but I hate throwing away markers that could have been used if only they hadn’t lost their caps and dried out!

These are odorless (I tested!), washable, and non-toxic markers in bold bright colors in either 12, or 24 packs.

Are you interested in giving them a try?

  1. Thank you for the review. We are always on the look out for new markers because our littles often leave the caps half on the marker itself. And my teen is interested in drawing as a profession.

    1. Oh, I know exactly what you mean! Have you ever ended up stepping on an errant cap? Oh, I can’t tell you how many times I have! πŸ™‚ That is great that your teen is interested in drawing! What a great profession that will be!!!

    1. You are welcome! I cannot tell you how many markers I had to toss over the years because they dried out after the caps were only partly pushed back on. Marker testing is one of the tasks I do twice a year – like washing the curtains and reorganizing the pantry! πŸ™‚

  2. I really could have used these when my kids were younger and famous for leaving the lids off their markers! LOL What a great product – and great artwork from your daughter too!
