5 Days of Homeschooling Twins – Part of the 5 Days of Homeschooling Blog Hop

We talked about
- coming to terms with that twin bond that sometimes leaves you to play second fiddle (or maybe even third)
- ways to break through the noise of twins
- gaining respect and the good kind of authority
- stepping aside and letting your twins help each other
Now that is done, let’s focus on the good stuff.
The only thing more joyful than having children for me is to homeschool them and share their moments, good and bad. Homeschooling really does change everyone in the family (mom and dad included) and tightens and strengthens the bonds within your family. I have noticed now that my twins are in their teens, we are becoming fast friends.
My daughter asked me the other evening why people think they cannot be friends with their kids. I think that it is hard to avoid being influenced by others who offer advice concerning how to raise your kids and how to teach your kids. But everyone is unique. Every family is different. I love my children with an unbounded and fathomless love that has carried me into this homeschooling adventure.
I can be teacher and parent and friend to both my kids – that is what makes us all happy. That is what works for us.
Whatever works for you is exactly the path you should take in your homeschool.
