Well, I took a summer break from Friday Funnies, Flops, and Fails. I needed to have a little more time for things and our homeschooling days were not structured enough for me to have that many stories to share.
But we are back now and I have a doozie of a fail this week to share with you…
You know how nearly everyone has THAT dream where you are late to work even though you thought you were on time? Well, this week we very nearly lived it.
My daughter interns at a Karate Studio a couple of times each week. She is the person who opens up the shop, sets up the facility to open for business, handles the first customers, and begins teaching the first class before the sensei arrives. She is also super reliable and conscientious. But, I messed up this week. Somehow I thought that she needed to be there at 4 for a 4:30 class start time, but the class actually started at 4 and she needed to be there at 3:30. Luckily we were a bit early as traffic was lighter than usual, but regardless I incurred the wrath of the frustrated teenager. For a teenager, my daughter is incredibly mature and balanced – but I still failed this week.

oh dear, teens can be such critics!! I used to hear about it from my daughter a lot when she’d be worried that she was getting to choir rehearsal “too late”. For the record, she was NEVER late. LOL
