My kids and I really enjoy journaling. For us it is an “evening together” activity, usually accompanied by a pot of tea and tasty treats. We turn on music and sit together and talk while we journal. My kids love this time because there are no expectations. We are just together. Often we don’t even share our journals, after all journals are private. What we share is time together.
