Searching for Peaceful Rivers {Weekly WrapUp}

Do you ever get so caught in the issues of the day that you lose sight of your purpose and find yourself searching for balance?

Searching for Peaceful WatersWell, that happened to me this week. So many kid activities, so much work to do, a kitchen drain to fix, everything caught me in a swirl of distraction. I found myself caught up in the craziness without a rudder, or even a paddle.

It took concerted time sitting with my favorite study bible and a lot of quiet to find my peace.

Have you ever had a week like that?? The amazing thing is once I centered myself where I needed to be, my kids became joyful and this week ended on a glorious, happy note.

And that is what homeschooling is all about – the ups and the downs, but we do it together!

While looking at possibly attending our local Renaissance Faire this weekend, I discovered a new-to-me band. If you are familiar with the Pogues, this band called Hoist the Colors is a lot like a toned down, more determined version of the Pogues. Equally great, and equally inspiring.
