My daughter lives in the Whovian world, with its logical conundrums and twists. Yes there are aliens and space ships, but it is really the adventure and the obstacles to be overcome in the name of morality that really attracts my kids to the series.
Yesterday we started out the morning with some art. My kids, being self-motivated pre-teens, choose their own projects these days. They have gotten to the point of challenging themselves to learn and so I act as a supplies chief and general supporter rather than leading lessons.
My daughter decided to combine art with her Writing With Skill lesson (a stupendous curriculum by Susan Wise Bauer) by doing her writing assignment in Gallifreyan (the lost language of Dr. Who).
Creativity abounds this week in our little homeschool and somewhere across the galaxy Dr. Who would be proud.
